Project Details
In 2010, Mexican American studies classes taught in the Tucson Unified School District, were banned. This campaign will help bring awareness to the great things this program has to offer for high school students and preparing them for college. To bring awareness to this topic, I created a clock. The inspiration for this clock comes from standardized testing. Students who took Mexican American ethnic courses were more likely to get higher scores on the test.
The students who took these classes were also more likely to graduate from high school. Create a campaign that can bring awareness to this issue. Creating a clock with a strong conceptual idea behind it was done to help people understand the importance of what is going on. Time is something you can't get back, so I though it would be cool to start this campaign off with something meaningful like that.

This part of the project is about bringing awareness to this topic. I created posters, t-shirts, and campaign videos that will be used to bring awareness to a seminar about the benefits of Mexican American Studies.
